Public Schools are Schools on the move.
Anne Arundel, as do all Maryland School systems operates on the neighborhood
school structure. There are twelve high schools in the county and each
high school "cluster" with 19 middle schools and 74 elementary
schools.
Anne Arundel has the fifth largest school system in Maryland and among
the 50 largest school systems in the country. With a staff of approximately
4,000 teachers, Anne Arundel County offers ducational services to over
75,000 students each year.

When the Class of 2003 graduated from AACPS, more than 78% headed for
institutions of higher learning while another 8 percent joined apprenticeship
programs in their chosen trades.
Of the 4,690 graduates, another 4 percent pursued further learning
in trade, technical, and business schools, while 4 percent joined the
military or planned to work part-time while attending school.
Our most recent graduates earned a total of $31.8 million in scholarships
to attend institutions of higher learning, including Yale and the United
States Naval Academy.
